The decision / recommendation of the OECD Council of 2nd October 1989 on Compliance with Principles of Good Laboratory Practice [C(89)87(Final)] requires that each OECD member state establish a national GLP Compliance Monitoring Programme.
The Swiss GLP Compliance Monitoring Programme guarantees that the national GLP authorities monitor GLP compliance in an adequate way by periodic inspections and/or study audits of the test facilities. The programme fulfils the requirements of the OECD document "revised Guides for Compliance Monitoring of Procedures for Good Laboratory Practice" (Number 2, revised, 1995).
