To be completed by the holder of the authorisation for the reference product
An application for authorisation of a same biocidal product AN or AC must be submitted to the Notification Authority Chemicals electronically via the Chemicals Register (RPC). In order to simplify entry by the applicant and processing by the authorities of the data required by the Chemicals Register, you must duplicate the reference product AN or AC using the register’s product duplication function. The holder of the authorisation for the reference product AN or AC may duplicate the reference product in question quickly and simply by using the register’s “Product Duplication” function, wherein a different authorisation applicant is then modified by the authorities.

After the holder of the authorisation for the biocidal reference product has duplicated it, the following documentation must be sent by e-mail to cheminfo@bag.admin.ch:
- CPID number of the duplicated biocidal product
- Declaration that the biocidal product should be transcribed as a same product
- Name and address of the Company to which the biocidal product should be transcribed
- Trade name and CPID number of the reference product
- E-mail address of a contact person for the future holder of the authorisation for the same product
In addition, the holder of the authorisation for the reference product must submit a hand signed letter of access to the following address:

It is only after the Notification Authority Chemicals has received the letter of access that the product is transcribed to the relevant Company and confirmed by e-mail to the holder of the authorisation for the reference product and to the future holder of the authorisation.
To be completed by the future holder of the authorisation for the same biocidal product
Then the future holder of the authorisation for the same biocidal product needs to adjust the administrative information in the Chemicals Register insofar as it differs from the reference product and upload the following documentation under the “Documents” tab:
a. Signed printout of the last page1 of the RPC voucher (as a PDF)
b. Completed and signed form “application for an authorisation as same product AN or AC (RTF, 64 kB, 30.08.2023)” as a PDF
c. Draft label design (including claims and instructions)
d. Safety data sheet
After having sent the electronic application to the Notification Authority Chemicals (RPC), the following information should also be sent by e-mail to the Notification Authority Chemicals at cheminfo@bag.admin.ch:
- Trade name and CPID number of the same product
- Statement that it concerns an application for a same product
