Authorship

Confidential data is protected by authorship in the RPC and is only accessible to selected individuals.

Due to data protection requirements, the Product Register for Chemicals (RPC) and therefore each notification type (preparations, biocides, substances, etc.) is based on the principle of authorship:

Only the confidential information, i.e.

  • the composition
  • In the case of substances and preparations dangerous to the environment: the quantity likely to be placed on the market annually
  • Information on nanomaterial

are assigned to the user account that entered them (authorship). Depending on your selection, access to uploaded documents can be restricted.

The confidential information about the authorship can initially only be viewed by the user account (author) that entered the information. The authorship can then either

Important: The main users of the company are not automatically authorised to access all the authorship! (Role of the main user, Roles of sub-users)

All non-confidential information can be accessed and edited by main users and sub-users internal within the same company in the RPC. Some of this data is also published for the general public.
